CELTIC, Central Europe. Helvetii. Late 2nd-early 1st century BC. Scyphate Stater (Electrum, 23 mm, 7.30 g, 9 h). Celticized laureate head of Apollo to right within crescent border. Rev. Celticized charioteer driving biga to left; below, crescent ornament; all in shallow incuse. Allen, SNR 53, 90-91. DT 3074. LT 8922. SLM 846-846. An unusually complete example with a very clear reverse. Very fine.
